Privacy policy

The short version

rabbitmind is an app on your computer. Everything you save stays in a library folder you choose. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing you save is sent to us.

The desktop app

Your items are stored as files in your library folder, and a search index is kept in the app's data folder on the same computer. You can open, move or delete these files at any time.

The app connects to the internet only to do what you ask or what your saves need: it fetches the pages you save (and preview images and each site's icon) from their own websites, checks your saved links when you run the link checker, and downloads the optional AI models (from Hugging Face) and AI engine (from GitHub) when you turn those features on. The AI then runs entirely on your computer.

Every few hours it checks rabbitmind.app for a newer version by downloading one public file. That request carries nothing about you or your library. You can turn automatic updates off in Settings, About.

The app sends no usage data, crash reports or identifiers to anyone.

The Chrome extension

Only when you ask it to save something (by clicking its toolbar button, pressing its shortcut or choosing one of its right-click items), the extension reads from the current tab: the page's address, title, description and preview image address, its main article text when it has one, or the text, image or link you right-clicked, plus any note or tags you type into its card.

It sends that only to the rabbitmind app on the same computer, at the local address 127.0.0.1. That traffic never leaves your computer. The extension does not read pages in the background, does not record your browsing and contains no remote code.

This website

rabbitmind.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from this site. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address, browser and time) to deliver pages and downloads and to keep the site secure.

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or share your data, because we don't have it. Your library is yours.
